RACs coming to OK Oct 2008 - April/May Coding Roundtable: Preparing for RAC Audits
The RAC program is currently scheduled to rollout to Oklahoma in October 2008.
OkHIMA has organized Coding Roundtable Discussion groups to meet the needs of coding professionals. The format for the following meetings will be listening to an AHIMA Audioseminar and having time for group discussions. There is a minimal charge of $10.00 per person to cover the cost of handouts, refreshments, and postage. The fee may be paid at the door (Cash or Checks payable to OkHIMA) on the day of the meeting.

-The nationwideimplementation of the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) process is scheduled for January 2010. However, due to the audits' success in identifying medical necessity and potential DRG errors, CMS is moving forward with implementation. This seminar will prepare you for RAC Audits.
Two (2) continuing education hours will be provided for attendance at the meeting. Please RSVP to the contact person listed below for the date/facility you plan to attend at least 3 days prior to the meeting date. Note the date/time of the meeting will vary by site.
