06/06/2006 - Achieving Coding Excelllence - Regional Coding Meeting This two-day seminar brings you up to speed on clinical code assignments and emerging issues that affect code reporting. Sign up for just one day, or both. Planned topics include:
- Diseases and correct diagnosis and procedure coding
- Case studies to build data analysis, code assignment skills and best practices for obtaining physician clarification for code choices that result in documentation improvement
- Driving forcess in your coding future. Key issues impacting clinical terminology and classification, an e-HIMฎ presentation.
- Practical resources coding professionals can use, including AHIMA Communitities of Practice (CoP), Body of Knowledge (BoK) and other regulatory resources such as the coordination and maintenance committee process, offical coding guidelines and other regulations.
- Case scenarios that provide attendees the opportunity to evaluate and discuss ethical questions and to help guide coding professionals in deciding the best course of action for ethical dilemmas in coding.
