
The OkHIMA Convention Mentor Program
The OkHIMA Convention Mentor Program is a way to connect HIM professionals of the future with active OkHIMA members during the OkHIMA Annual Convention for a mentoring opportunity like no other. There is high value is allowing students to interact, network, and learn from members of the active workforce and the Convention Mentor Program gives the opportunity to connect everyone in a structured environment. During the convention, students will join the mentor during learning sessions, sit together during the luncheons, and be given ample time to network.
What are the benefits of participating in the Convention Mentor Program?
For students: The opportunity to connect with a working HIM professional who can provide you guidance, advice, and support as you work towards being a member of the HIM workforce. You also may find opportunities for jobs, new friends, or simply grow in your professionalism, communication, and knowledge.

Who is eligible to participate in the Convention Mentor Program?
For students: Any student member of OkHIMA who is currently enrolled in a CAHIIM accredited program and attending the OkHIMA Annual Convention.
For mentors: Any active HIM workforce member who is attending the OkHIMA Annual Convention.
