OkHIMA 2021 Convention: In-Person Cancellation Notice
The coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic is changing the way we must operate our in-person events once again. The health and safety of our volunteers and event attendees is our top priority. As cases continue to rise, combined with a slower than expected vaccine roll out, COVID-19 again disrupts our mission and ability to maintain our upcoming Annual OkHIMA Convention and Vendor Trade Show in a safe way.
After reviewing your comments in our recent survey about in person events, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person 2021 OkHIMA Annual Convention and Vendor Trade Show that was initially scheduled for April 7-9th, 2021. At this time, all other in-person events for 2021 are under scrutiny as well. We apologize greatly for any inconvenience this may cause you. It certainly was not the outcome we were hoping for, but we do have some good news – 2021 is going VIRTUAL!
Your 2021 Virtual Annual Convention will be available to register for in early April. This year’s sessions will be made available through prerecorded sessions you will be able to watch at your own convenience, wherever you want (and in whatever PJs you want 😉). There will be no vendor trade show this year. The annual business meeting will be a live virtual meeting and the date and registration for that will be announced soon. As this is a quick change from our original plan, we appreciate your patience in the roll out of this event.
